Toshiba America Medical Systems said Wednesday Stephen Bumb will lead its X-ray vascular business unit.
As the new director of the Tustin, Calif.-headquartered company, Bumb will launch strategic marketing plans and coordinate with Toshiba's global business unit on the needs of the U.S. market.
"He has a proven track record of success in the medical industry and will be instrumental in further growing Toshiba's market share in the XR/VL business," Doug Ryan, the company's vice president, marketing and strategic development, said in prepared remarks.

Before his appointment with Toshiba, Bumb served as the marketing director for Irvine-based Edwards Lifesciences Critical Care. He has also held executive positions at Imagyn Medical Technologies and Vascular Control Systems.
"I look forward to leading the XR/VL team and building on Toshiba's momentum," Bumb said.
