Axess Ultrasound said Wednesday it hired a new director of business development and two new sales and service managers.
The Indianapolis-based ultrasound repair, service and training company said Chris Wright will act as the director of business development. She spent 17 years as an ultrasound technician before moving onto GE Healthcare. Wright will help drive new business growth at Axess.
Axess said John Vartanian and Joni Charles will both serve as new sales and service managers.
Vartanian spent more than 10 years with independent service company COHR Inc., also known as Masterplan, and the ultrasound departments of GE and Philips Healthcare. He will now provide service for Catholic Healthcare West in California, Arizona and Nevada, and for new customers.
Charles, who previously worked with UMS, Acuson Corp. and Siemens Healthcare (which bought Acuson in 2000), will be based in Pittsburgh, handling accounts in western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and West Virginia.
"Our people are what make Axess a success," said William Gulley, executive director of Axess, in prepared remarks.
Six-year-old Axess serves more than 500 hospitals and health care and veterinary facilities across the country, according to the company's press release.
