Konica Minolta
Radiology staff at the recently opened CHELMSFORD MEDICAL CENTRE in Essex, and operated by MedTel UK Ltd, have been quick to praise Konica Minolta's state-of-the-art `Regius' 190 CR System, as well as the latest `Drypro' 793 and `Drypro' 771 Laser Imagers, a range of equipment currently serving medical patients and staff.

MedTel UK is the US-owned independent medical provider of imaging services which last year signed a long-term contract with the Konica Minolta Medical Division for the supplying of its modern CR System and `dry' Laser Imagers as it upgrades existing imaging facilities and the equipping of new centres being established throughout the UK.

Commenting on the success of Konica Minolta`s medical imaging systems at CHELMSFORD MEDICAL CENTRE, a spokesman said , "Shortly after the installation of the `Regius' CR System and `Drypro' Laser Imagers, we realized what a major advancement these units are in technology terms, and how very well these work for us here."

Performance Enhancing Technology
Launched at the 2005 E.C.R., in Vienna, the `Regius' 190 CR System registered one of its first UK installations at the CHELMSFORD MEDICAL CENTRE where it has proved `an eye opener'. The new unit offers several key features, including a 43.75 um read function for mammography, and is available with either CS-2 or CS-3 user interface, both being supplied with IBM hardware platform plus the latest E120 touch screen monitor. New functionality allows free text annotation, data analysis function and image stitching - features largely negating the need for a separate QA station. Its small footprint, 580 x 580 mm, is the ideal system where space is limited.
