ATLANTA--May 20, 2006--Siemens Medical Solutions, USA and Shockwave Technical Service (STS), a division of Tissue Regeneration Technologies, LLC, unveiled LithoGold(TM)* at the American Urological Association (AUA) Annual Meeting, recently held in Atlanta. Working in close collaboration with Siemens, STS developed LithoGold, a new spark gap shockwave lithotripsy unit. This unit is built into the housing of the Siemens MODULARIS system, and thus is compatible with the MODULARIS table and choice of Siemens' C-arms. As a result, the proven MODULARIS platform will be available with either electromagnetic or spark gap shockwave technology.

The MODULARIS system, based on electromagnetic shockwave technology, will be marketed and sold by Siemens, whereas the platform with spark gap shockwave technology will be exclusively marketed and sold by STS.

LithoGold represents the most recent advancements in electrohydraulic (spark gap) technology and incorporates the STS SmartTrode(TM) intelligent electrode, which automatically adjusts itself for the specified energy level.

The clinical studies for LithoGold are completed and the results have been submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for review in a pre-market notification application for 510(k) clearance.
