A concert will be held downtown in New York City with all profits to be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, based in New York.

The classic rock and "glam" program will be held at Don Hill's, 511 Greenwich Street at Spring Street, NYC, on Thursday, June 1, 2006, beginning at 8 p.m. (Purchase tickets at www.thegroover.com)

"Many DOTmed News readers won't be able to attend, but they can still donate to this worthy cause, which is very close to all of us in this industry," said Marc Regan, Nationwide Imaging Services, Inc., who helped set up the event.

To donate directly, make your check payable to:
"Breast Cancer Research Foundation" with a memo notation "TRex Concert for Breast Cancer". Checks can be mailed to: Marc Regan, Nationwide Imaging Services, 638 Mantoloking Road, Brick, NJ 08723.

The music at the concert will appeal to classic rock and "glam" rock fans. Acts include a T. Rex tribute featuring Marc Bolan's son Rolan Bolan and his band; Steve Conte of The New York Dolls; Rachel Bolan of Skid Row; Jeepster (T. Rex Tribute Band from the UK); and Frankenstein 3000, along with surprise guests.

MARC BOLAN has been gone for nearly 30 years, but his music lives on. The often underrated glam-rock originator and leader of the seminal English rock band T. Rex is more visible than ever in worldwide media. Bolan's image has been plastered all over music and entertainment magazines commemorating the birth of glam rock nearly 30 years ago. His music has been blasting from commercials and movie soundtracks lately.
