Medical imaging contract-research veteran Eric S. Perlman, MD, will take the helm as Chief Medical Officer of ACR Image Metrix, a premier contract research organization and for-profit subsidiary of The American College of Radiology.
Perlman formerly worked as Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of Molecular Imaging for RadPharm, Inc., one of the first imaging contract research organizations in America. There, he spearheaded internal development for early phase trials encompassing next-generation molecular imaging techniques. He was also a clinical radiologist for more than 10 years with Princeton Radiologist Associates in New Jersey, orchestrating the practice’s positron emission tomography imaging services.
“I look forward to furthering my personal and professional goal of improving the quality and consistency of clinical trials imaging, especially as a quantitative biomarker for early drug development,” Perlman said. “I am experienced in the organization and operation of imaging CROs and I am actively involved in efforts to standardize the use of and progress the discussion about imaging biomarker qualification.”
