Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. said Wednesday that it opened a $3 million MRI educational center in Southern California to allow customers to get hands-on training on Toshiba MR equipment.
The Toshiba MR Research Center is based in Irvine, about a 15-minute drive from Tustin, where Toshiba's U.S. medical branch is headquartered.
The new center will be used both for conducting MR research and for giving clients training on new imaging techniques. The center would also give would-be purchasers a chance to test drive the million-dollar machines before placing an order, Toshiba said in its press release.
