Philips has expanded its decades-long partnership with Medtronic through a new multiyear agreement aimed at broadening access to integrated patient monitoring systems, beginning in North America with plans for global rollout.
The latest phase of the collaboration brings together Philips’ monitoring platforms with Medtronic’s monitoring technologies, including Nellcor pulse oximetry, Microstream capnography, and BIS brain monitoring. Under the new agreement, Philips will also bundle key consumables, such as ECG electrodes, noninvasive blood pressure (NIBP) cuffs, and batteries, with its monitors configured to work with Medtronic technologies. This bundled approach is intended to reduce procurement complexity for hospitals and standardize validation across systems.
Originally launched in 1992, the partnership has focused on embedding Medtronic components into Philips systems to create streamlined, interoperable solutions. By consolidating monitoring products and consumables into a unified offering, the companies aim to simplify supply chains and reduce the burden of managing multiple vendor contracts.

Philips also introduced a pledge program as part of the agreement, committing to ensure that all integrated technologies are clinically validated and meet cybersecurity and readiness standards for immediate clinical use.
“Philips is passionate about equipping clinicians with the tools they need to provide better care to more patients,” said Sachin Chaudhari, general manager of clinical applications and devices for hospital patient monitoring at Philips. “Through our partnership with Medtronic, we’re providing a comprehensive monitoring solution that is validated throughout all stages, giving clinicians access to the reliable, high-quality products they need to do their jobs.”
