I am Akane Naka from Japan,
an intern at DOTmed. You can
read my diary every week
here in DOTmed News
Hi. Lately I see some issues about breast cancer in papers and on TV. There was one on DOTmed News last week, too. It is said that fewer but larger doses of radiotherapy may be a better way to treat breast cancer, and another one I read on the paper said Yoga contributes to cancer therapy. Women going through treatment for breast cancer felt better when they tried Yoga, according to a new scientific study.

I have tried Yoga in Japan only because of good exercise. Yoga builds in meditation, relaxation, imagery, controlled breathing, stretching, and physical movements. I believe they have effects for cancer therapy as well.

Turning to another topic, I went to see the circus called CORTEO, which means "cortege" in Italian - a festive parade imagined by a clown, on last Sunday. Everything was brilliant - way to perform, costume, music, decoration and so on. Especially, I really liked the act called "Bouncing Beds", a trampoline work that looks like the artists are jumping on the beds. They amazed and gave us laugh and pleasure all the time.

I hope you have a chance to see their work since they travel around the U.S. Enjoy!!
