Steris Corp. and Neurologica Corp. said Tuesday that they have teamed up to offer surgical suites to hospitals.
Under the new collaboration, the two companies said they would help design and equip operating rooms, with Neurologica supplying the imaging systems and Steris much of the other essential equipment.
Neurologica would offer its portable, full-body 32-slice CT scanner, the BodyTom, which can be used for imaging-guided surgeries, while Steris would provide LED lights, suspended monitors, tables and operating-room management systems. Steris said it would also use its 3-D room modeling software and planning services to help design the space.
