Radiography Program
The Bucks County Community College Radiography Program is a 24-month, full-time program that prepares students to enter the field of diagnostic medical imaging. A new class is accepted each May. Through participation in classroom activities at the college, as well as laboratory and clinical activities in various hospitals, students learn to perform diagnostic radiographic studies. Frankford Hospitals, St. Mary Medical Center, Central Montgomery Medical Center and Grand View Hospital are clinical sites currently used by our students.

Emphasis is placed on patient care, radiation protection, and technical skills needed to pursue a career in the various modalities of the field of radiology. At the successful completion of the 24-month program, the student receives a certificate from the College and is eligible to be seated for the examination given by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Upon passing the examination, the student becomes a registered Radiographer or Radiologic Technologist and may work in a variety of settings: hospitals, clinics, physician's offices, and mobile x-ray companies.
