Dr. Cesare Orlandi,
Lantheus' new CMO.
As the newly appointed chief medical officer for Lantheus Medical Imaging, Dr. Cesare Orlandi brings more than 20 years of diverse pharmaceutical industry experience to the company. DOTmed News spoke with him about his new position.
DMN: How long have you been working in the industry?
CO: I have been working in the pharmaceutical industry for more than 20 years.

DMN: What are the specific areas in your field that you are focused on?
CO: I have broad experience in various therapeutic areas. My main focus is cardiology and meeting the need for improved diagnostic medical imaging tools through clinical research and development.
DMN: What are your goals as CMO of Lantheus Medical Imaging?
CO: In my role as Chief Medical Officer at Lantheus, my priority is to advance our clinical development and product life cycle strategy, champion our ongoing commitment to patient safety, and provide leadership to our Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Pharmacovigilence and Regulatory organizations.
DMN: What excites you most about the industry these days?
CO: Facing the new challenges and opportunities provided by the evolving regulatory and reimbursement environment in global health care. Additionally, the development of next generation medical imaging tools that could ultimately provide physicians with improved options to help diagnose and evaluate cardiovascular disease.
