Aurora, Illinois - Our technical support team has come across a few cases in which the incorrect tube file was selected during installation, which caused tube problems down the road. It is imperative to pick the correct tube file from the library in the generator when installing a radiographic or fluoroscopic tube. The tube selection in your generator software must match all of the replacement x-ray tube's characteristics. Improper tube file selection can damage or shorten the life of your tube. This can happen very quickly, so remember to install and calibrate your x-ray tube using the correct filament, kV, and stator characteristics from the library in the generator!
