When it comes to parking or storing your medical mobile unit, Texas Medical Mobile Services Inc. has it all-security, electrical power, forklifts, cryogen filling for MRI magnets, even portable chillers for trailers that arrive with problems.

"I had a lot of discussions and conversations with VPs and directors of the bigger mobile companies and asked them what they needed. Then I just filled that need," said Cliff Hess, president of the new company. "We've got a keypad controlled electric gate so that we can control access at all times. We have everything all the way down to wireless Internet access and facilities for the drivers. We put all these things together just to make it easier and smarter for anybody that needs top-level service for their trailers."

The four-acre site on an old tractor-trailer training school in Waxahachie, Texas is perfect for storing mobiles. The affordably priced TMMS facility offers three indoor bays, 12 powered bays, and nearly unlimited parking. Powered bays will be added as necessary to meet customer demand.

"Our inside bays are great if you need to do a cold head change and get out of the weather. A major upgrade to the trailer or MRI can all be done inside in climate controlled conditions so that you don't have your guys out in the rain trying to do a cold head and getting in trouble."

Customers include large mobile fleets that need a place for storage, cleanup, renovation and upgrades. Smaller clients are likely to include equipment dealers that buy and sell mobile units and need a safe place to put them while closing deals or arranging rentals. A state-of-the-art, infrared, motion-sensor, web-based, closed-circuit TV with digital recording and alarm system lets customers check in on their units from the Internet 24/7. TMMS personnel will monitor your systems and provide web-based reports on helium level, internal magnet pressure, and cold head/chiller operation.

TMMS provides truck maintenance but not medical equipment maintenance other than arranging cryogen fills. "We provide all the services that a mobile company might need; from the hydraulic lifts to flat tires on the truck to a broken generator. Cleaning services are also available. We go through them inside and out and bring them back to life," Hess said.
