Co-presenters Ellie Richardson from North Shore Magnetic Imaging Center, and Amy MacNulty of Mitretek Healthcare will speak on the development of leadership skills within an organization and how to improve performance through a novel strategic planning process. "Being the Benchmark Organization" will inspire you to use this model in your imaging center.

A presentation by Melody Mulaik from Coding Strategies on "Current Compliance and Reimbursement Issues for Imaging Centers" will identify and gain clarification on compliance concerns along with a discussion on the anticipated state for reimbursement in radiology.

Attendees will spend early Saturday afternoon hearing from Bill Sanders from Radiology Alliance PC and Ken Davis of the law firm of Katten, Muchin, Rosenman LLP present "Unwinding or Restructuring Medical Imaging Joint Ventures". Concerns addressed during this session include the understanding of key laws and regulations about joint ventures and how to identify joint ventures that may need restructuring.

"Let's Go Fishing! Reeling in Profits from Outstanding Customer Service." Come learn about the "Fish Philosophy" from Scott Looper of Greenville Radiology PC and Patty Riskind of PatientImpact LLC. Customer service is what can set your imaging center apart. Learn about strategies you can use to identify areas that need improvement or refining.

The conference will wrap up on Saturday afternoon with a presentation by Danny Meadows of Nightingale Informatix Corp. Danny will speak on "Preparing for the Electronic Data Exchange in Healthcare". Participants will come out of the presentation with a better understanding of the national electronic health record initiatives.

Besides all of the wonderful presentations this conference has to offer, the networking opportunities with peers abound and can be very inspiring and rewarding. The sharing of knowledge and experience with administrators in similar positions often help gain insight to concerns and issues you may be facing at your site.
