Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital is a 120-bed hospital in Wheaton, Illinois, dedicated to the delivery of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Founded in 1972 by the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters, Marianjoy has a network of inpatient, subacute, and outpatient sites and physician clinics throughout the greater Chicago area. Throughout this network, Marianjoy provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, including programs that assist patients with community re-entry, such as driver rehabilitation

Applicants who complete one year of accredited training such as transitional year, family practice, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics or surgery, or any combination of these patient care experiences, are eligible to apply to Marianjoys three-year PM&R training program.

Additionally, our specialized clinics through the Marianjoy Medical Group, which include our comprehensive outpatient clinic, prosthetics/orthotics clinic, swallowing and voice center and continence clinic, provide additional educational opportunities for our resident physicians.

Typical" Resident on-call schedule
All residents participate in on-call duties, and no one individual resident is on call any more frequently than once every third night. Following is a typicalEon-call schedule:
PGY2 approximately 3 times per month
PGY3 approximately 2 times per month
PGY4 approximately 1 time per month
PGY3 E4 serve as back-upEresident-on-call for one week during which time they are not assigned additional on-call duties.
In addition to primary on-call responsibility, inpatient residents have day-call responsibilities which includes providing cross-coverage and assisting primary resident-on-call with inpatient hospital admissions after 4:30 p.m.
Didactics
Didactics are held weekly and include faculty lectures, case presentations and journal club.
Visiting professor lectures are held quarterly.
Grand Rounds are held every month.
