VirtuRad will expand its commitment
to sell Agfa's complete line
of Orthopaedic imaging solutions
Greenville - South Carolina -- Agfa HealthCare has announced that VirtuRad, a leading systems integrator and value added reseller of digital radiography equipment and services in the orthopaedic market in the U.S., has signed an agreement with Agfa HealthCare to sell Agfas orthopaedic line of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), expanding the relationship beyond the current sale and support of Agfas Computed Radiography (CR) systems.
With the agreement, VirtuRad will expand its commitment to sell Agfa's complete line of Orthopaedic imaging solutions, including Agfa's CR, Orthopaedic pre-surgical planning tools, and IMPAX PACS systems, making them the PACS and CR systems of choice at VirtuRad. VirtuRad and Agfa collaborated previously in the installation of Agfa's IMPAX 6.0 for Orthopaedics solution at Greenville Hospital System (GHS) and its sports medicine partner, Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas, a nationally renowned leader in sports injury diagnosis and treatment.

Agfa's CR systems are known for their compact footprints and easy accessibility leading to a reduction in image review times and maximized productivity. The latest version of Agfa's PACS, IMPAX 6.0, is a web-deployable image management solution that, along with Agfa's orthopaedic pre-surgical planning tools, helps streamline enterprise workflow and deliver increased efficiencies in orthopaedic and other healthcare institutions.
