Radiology Seeks New Editor
Herbert Y. Kressel, M.D., has announced he will leave his post of Radiology editor at the end of 2017, and the Board appointed a search committee to begin the process of finding a new editor to succeed him. The committee, led by Mary C. Mahoney, M.D., Board liaison for publications and communications, will conduct interviews with the goal of having a final selection made by the end of 2016. New Professionalism Vignette
A new vignette, "Professionalism from the Resident's Perspective," is now available on RSNA.org. The vignette offers residents background on the right way to handle certain difficult situations. RSNA's Professionalism Vignettes cover a wide range of topics that radiologists may encounter in their practice. The objectives of the vignettes are to raise awareness about the need for radiologists to incorporate professionalism into routine practice and to facilitate discussion of this core competency.
RadiologyInfo.org Launches New Section
The website has recently been expanded with the addition of a new section called "Radiology and You." The section offers information that can help patients better understand the overall radiologic experience and the role of radiologists in their medical care. Topics such as "Five Things Physicians and Patients Should Question" and "How to Read Your Radiology Report" are included to empower patients and help them become more active participants in their healthcare.
