The center provides Moffitt researchers with access to cutting-edge imaging platforms, including live-cell and super-resolution imaging systems. These tools enable scientists to observe cancer cells at a molecular level, offering insights into their behavior and response to treatments. The data collected can be analyzed using machine learning and mathematical oncology to refine treatment strategies.
“Nikon’s collaboration with Moffitt Cancer Center underscores our commitment to advancing innovative research excellence within the scientific community,” said Andy Davis, director of sales at Nikon Instruments. “By partnering with Moffitt to create this center, we can help elevate their imaging and research capabilities so that they may continue their pioneering cancer research.”
Moffitt, based in Tampa, Florida, is one of 57 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers, recognized for its scientific excellence and multidisciplinary research. The addition of the Nikon Center of Excellence reinforces its role as a leader in oncology research, with the potential to accelerate discoveries in cancer diagnostics and treatment.
