Podiatry Program Overview
Overview
The MetroWest Podiatric Residency program is now an accredited PM&S 24. Residents work closely with local podiatric and orthopedic surgeons in all aspects of surgery and patient care. The program is affiliated with Tufts University and Boston University Medical Schools as well as other teaching hospitals in the Boston area, including Harvard University's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Our Program offers an opportunity to learn first-hand multidisciplinary approaches to the surgical correction of podiatric and orthopedic deformities. The program also gives the resident a thorough understanding, and competency in the medical management of trauma, and post-operative patients. The residency is surgery oriented and is respected throughout the hospital as an invaluable service. The MetroWest Medical Center residency offers one position per year and accepts one student per month for externship. Visiting the program is recommended and encouraged.
