We need to put pressure on
our newly elected Congress to
repeal the cuts.
Auld Lang Syne. 2007 has come. The 2005 DRA cuts are officially in effect. As previously reported by DOTmed News, reimbursement for virtually all imaging procedures are being cut -- and cut by as much as 50%!
The good news is that Congress is about to switch hands. YOU- indeed- may have a new representative. And, as
Time Magazine's person of the year, it is up to YOU to educate him/her about the dangers that these cuts pose to our very well being. Even though it may be your representative's first day on the job, he/she needs to know that re-election depends on support of matters important to constituents.
Access to Medical Imaging Coalition(AMIC)has developed an easy system where you can identify your representatives by entering your zip code and then send a letter urging support to repeal the cuts in the DRA. You can draft your own letter or use the form letter that the AMIC has created.
