New ASRT member benefit offers more continuing education options

Press releases may be edited for formatting or style | December 06, 2016 Business Affairs
The American Society of Radiologic Technologists has launched the Directed Reading Flex Plan, a new benefit that allows members to access continuing education materials quickly and in content areas of their choice. New and existing members who select this option will have immediate access to a bank of Directed Reading articles that cover a wide variety of medical imaging and radiation therapy topics.

The Directed Reading Flex Plan solves a common problem facing radiologic technologists: securing practice-specific CE content to meet their registration or state licensure requirements. For example, R.T.s in some states need CE credit in digital imaging content. The Directed Reading Flex Plan provides a solution for this group as members can choose articles approved for digital imaging credit and immediately take the CE quizzes.

"The Directed Reading Flex Plan alleviates the frustration of many R.T.s when it comes to continuing education." said ASRT Associate Executive Director Myke Kudlas, M.Ed., R.T.(R)(QM), CIIP, PMP. "As national, state, and institutional CE parameters evolve, R.T.s can use the Directed Reading Flex Plan to immediately find the CE they need to meet these requirements."
