Nominations are being accepted
for AAMI's Technology
Management Council
Nominations are now being accepted to serve on AAMI's Technology Management Council (TMC), a 21-member group formed by AAMI's Board of Directors in 2004 to serve the interests of biomedical equipment technicians (BMETs), clinical engineers (CEs), and other managers of medical technology.
TMC members consist of a broad cross-section of members including BMETs, CEs, educators, manufacturing representatives, biomedical society leaders, students, and others in the medical technology field.
TMC members are responsible for identifying and implementing priorities and projects undertaken by the Council, working on ad hoc task forces to achieve goals, providing assistance to staff in publicizing projects and accomplishments, and attending two TMC meetings each year. One meeting is held in conjunction with AAMI's Annual Conference & Expo and a second meeting is held by conference call or in conjunction with a state biomedical society meeting in the fall.
