* Short Stay Surgical Unit - 4E on the Mt. Zion campus specializes in the care of the patient who requires a limited stay following surgery. Common surgeries seen on this unit include thyroidectomies, plastic surgery, gynecology and urology. Staff on this unit work 8-hour and 12-hour shifts.
Adult Critical Care Training Program - This program is open to new graduates and experienced RNs new to this specialty. ACLS certification is preferred, and for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit ACLS certification is preferred and PALS certification is required. Areas of opportunity include:

Emergency Department Training Program - This program is open to new graduates and experienced RNs new to this area. All nurses must have ACLS and PALS within six months of entering the program.
Pediatric Acute Care Training Program - 6-Long and 7-Long are the units for our acute pediatric patient population. Training programs for these units are open to new grads and experienced RNs new to pediatrics. Opportunities are available for:
* Medical - Surgical Acute Care - 6 Long
* Pediatric Oncology/BMT/Rehab - 7 Long
* Pediatric Clinical Research Center - 6 PCRC
* Pediatric Transitional Care Unit - 7 North
Pediatric Intensive Care Training Program - Open to new grads and experienced RNs new to this specialty. PALS certification is required upon completion of the program. Opportunities to consider:
* Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) - medical/surgical patient population
* Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU)
Intensive Care Nursery Training Program - Open to new grads (senior preceptorships in ICN preferred) and experienced RNs new to this specialty. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required upon completion of the program.
OR Training Program - Program curriculum for this course is the Perioperative Nursing Course 101, developed by the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN). Upon completion of the program, nurses will receive a nationally recognized credential as well as 80+ hours of continuing education credit. New graduates may apply, however hiring preference will be given to RNs with at least one year of acute care experience. All OR trainees will be expected to work full-time (8-hour shifts).
