The company acquired International Medical Equipment and Service (IMES) in 2015 to support its goal of providing replacement parts, service training and technical support. Subsequent investments have focused on extending the capabilities of that business, and replacement CT tubes are a main piece of that strategy.
Richardson has made significant investments in specialized manufacturing and processing equipment for high-voltage vacuum technology. That includes everything from high-temperature vacuum furnaces to clean assembly rooms and test equipment.
The company also recently launched its P3 Advantage Program, which involves parts supply agreements that give hospitals and ISO customers preferred access to replacement CT tubes as they become available.

Fitzgerald and his team are expecting to begin deliveries of its new manufactured replacement CT tubes in early 2018.
“Richardson is able to offer replacement CT tubes, which perform identically to the OEM tube, and at a price and quality which makes alternative service economically possible,” he says.
