The target audience for this event are Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Dentists and Pharmacists.
Purppose
This program is designed to enhance the ability of primary care providers to detect HIV infection, deliver routine care to HIV positive individuals and refer to specialists as appropriate.

Pre-Registration until 6/15/07:$35.00
After 6/15/07 and on-site:$50.00
Application fee includes lunch, work shop, handouts and record retention fee for Continuing Education Credits. Early application is suggested to ensure receipt of your confirmation letter and directions. Late registrations should call UMDNJ-CCOE prior to arrival to confirm availability.
Objectives
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe the new CDC Revised HIV Testing Recommendations.
- Discuss the impact of the new CDC Revised HIV Testing Recommendations on the primary care system.
- Identify effective primary care management of the HIV positive patient.
- Screen and identify common mental health conditions in clinical practice.
- Understand the local, state and regional implications of the new CDC Revised HIV Testing Recommendations.
