a new head of its global
PACS business
Stamford, CT - FUJIFILM Medical Systems USA, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Bob Cooke to Vice President, Network Business Management. Cooke is responsible for Fujifilm's global Synapse® PACS (picture archiving and communications system) business, providing a consistent business-practice model as it relates to product management, marketing and integration. With this new position he has also become a member of Fujifilm's executive committee.
Cooke joined Fujifilm in 2003 as the Executive Director of Marketing, Network Systems, assuming responsibility for all Synapse marketing efforts. Most recently he served as the executive director, marketing and product management. Under his leadership the company surpassed the 1,000th Synapse installation globally, and in the U.S., Synapse sales more than doubled.

Cooke has nearly 20 years of medical imaging and PACS industry experience. His career in the medical imaging field began as a software engineer for Matrix Instruments, an early market leader in radiology imaging. Prior to joining Fujifilm he was Vice President and Global General Manager for Agfa Healthcare's PACS business, where he played a key role in developing the business growth strategy for the company.
Cooke is viewed as an industry pioneer for creating early commercial success in the mainstream PACS market, and is a frequent speaker at educational and industry forums. He received Bachelor of Science degrees in General Engineering and Computer Science from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
