We deeply regret to announce the untimely passing of our President, David Farrell. One of the founding partners of Veritas Medical Solutions and a man of great vision, David brought about much needed innovation to the field of radiation shielding for cancer treatment.

After a tenacious fight of his own with cancer, David passed away surrounded by his beloved family.

His groundbreaking achievements include, the development of modular radiation shielding blocks, shielded door systems for high energy applications, and the world’s first direct entry door for proton facilities. Establishing Veritas in 2008, David and his brother Robert guided Veritas from a three man start-up, into an internationally-recognized corporation. David was involved in research and testing at Los Alamos National Labs as part of a team that included many highly credentialed radiotherapy experts, and he was also an active speaker at industry seminars and conferences where he was recognized as a leading authority on radiation shielding, methods and applications.

Prior to co-founding and heading Veritas, David was President of Atomic International, where he handled the day-to-day operations, research and product development efforts for over 20 years. He attended Penn State University, majoring in Architectural Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering, Physics, Nuclear Engineering and Mathematics.
