"It was at a good price point," said Byrd, "but our decision was really made after we talked to other users. Their current customers' comments about the installation process, the helpfulness of the implementation team, the responsiveness of the support—that was really the determining factor for us."
eRAD engineers migrated data from the previous RIS and ensured that information flowed properly across all systems. "They just went above and beyond to get the reports looking the way I wanted them to, and the PACS integration went off without a hitch," said Byrd.
The practice gains efficiency with robust tools like document scanning. "That definitely was a positive feature for me," said Byrd. "Before, we had to scan to a huge repository and then manually hunt for the document if we needed it. With eRAD RIS, we can scan in insurance cards and other documents, and they're linked directly to the patient record. eRAD RIS has a lot more functionality than we had before."
