ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Carestream Health, Inc., announced the appointment of Graeme Allan as Regional General Manager of the European, Africa and Middle East region for the company's Healthcare Information Solutions business.

Healthcare Information Solutions includes Carestream Health's medical image and information management solutions, such as RIS-PACS, and enterprise and regional information management solutions.

Reporting to Michael W. Jackman, President, Healthcare Information Solutions, Allan will have overall responsibility for the deployment of business strategy in the region and will manage the regional field sales teams.

Formerly, Allan served as Vice President of Northern Europe for Alcatel-Lucent's enterprise business, which delivers voice and data communication systems to a broad base of enterprise and government customers. In this role, he worked with managers in all countries to deliver profitable revenue that exceeded market growth rates.

Allan brings more than 20 years of sales, marketing and general management experience with IT products and services in both public and private sectors to Carestream Health. He has extensive worldwide and European business leadership experience ranging from small start-up businesses to large corporations including Datapoint, Novell and Nortel.
