Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Education and Research Foundation are committed to advancing the radiologic sciences and to promoting the professionalism of technologists.

The Siemens Clinical Advancement Scholarship Program assists medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals seeking to enhance their clinical practice skills and ability to provide excellent patient care. Approved programs include but are not limited to the following: masters or baccalaureate degrees in radiologic sciences, specialty disciplines such as CT/MRI or sonography, and certificate programs in radiation therapy or dosimetry.

Scholarships of $3,000 each are awarded annually.

Eligibility
1. Must have applied to:
a. An accredited certificate program related to the radiologic sciences, or
b. A planned course of study at the associate, bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree level intended to further his or her clinical practice in the radiologic sciences.

2. Individuals receiving this degree or certificate before Sept. 1 of the scholarship year are ineligible.

3. Cannot also have applied for the GE Management or Elekta/Monster Educator scholarships.

4. Must be a graduate of an accredited program in the radiologic sciences.

5. Must hold an unrestricted state license or be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.

6. Must be a current ASRT member.

7. Must have worked as a professional in a clinical or didactic setting in the radiologic science profession for at least one of the past five years. Clinical rotations performed as a radiologic science student cannot be included.

8. ASRT Education and Research Foundation governing board, staff and immediate family members are ineligible.

9. Previous awardees are eligible to apply; however, applicants are only eligible to win this scholarship twice.

Selection and Notification Process
To safeguard the integrity of the scholarship recipient selection process, the ASRT Foundation Board of Trustees formed the Scholarship Review Committee (SRC). Comprising medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals, the SRC reviews blinded application materials and makes final recipient recommendations to the Trustees.

Application Deadline
Completed applications for ASRT Foundation scholarship programs must be postmarked on or before Feb. 1 of the scholarship year. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed.
