Eligibility

1. Must be a graduate of, or a senior in, an accredited high school (G.E.D., is also acceptable.)

2. Must be enrolled in a school accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education.

3. Must provide evidence of financial need or career goals.

4. Applicant's course of study must lead to a career in one of the disciplines certified by the American Medical Technologists.
(*Applicants pursuing careers other than those certified by the American Medical Technologists will not be accepted.)

Application

1. Must be typed to be considered.

2. Must be completed and filed prior to April 1 to be considered for the current year's scholarship. (*Applications that are incomplete or are received in the AMT Office after April 1 will not be considered.)

Selection and Notification

1. The AMT Scholarship Committee, whose decision will be final, will determine scholarship recipients. Only the recipients will be notified.

2. The award may only be used to defray tuition costs, and will be sent directly to the school of the recipient's choice.

3. Winners will be notified thereafter, and must furnish proof of being either a student in good standing, or enrolled for entrance into the fall program of an accredited school.

**Note: If you are pursuing studies OTHER than medical laboratory technology, medical assisting, dental assisting, phlebotomy or office laboratory technician, DO NOT submit an application.

AMT Members

One $2,500 and three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded annually.

Eligibility

1. Must be a member in good standing with AMT.

2. Must be enrolled in a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting commission. The program of study should be concerned with disciplines certified by AMT.

Application

1. Applicant must file this completed application and all required information prior to April 1 to be considered for the current year's scholarship.

2. Applicant must provide evidence of financial need and career goals.

Selection and Notification

1. The AMT Scholarship Committee will determine scholarship recipients. The recipient of the current year's scholarship will be announced at the national Annual Meeting of American Medical Technologists held in mid-summer.

2. The scholarship recipient will be notified thereafter, and must furnish proof of being either a student in good standing, or enrolled for entrance into the fall program of a college or university, accredited by a regional accrediting commission.

*In order to become an AMT member, you need to be certified by meeting educational, professional experience and examination requirements.
