New CEO Takes the Reigns at GE Healthcare

Joseph M. Hogan has just been named President and CEO of GE Healthcare Technologies, an $11 billion segment of GE Healthcare of General Electric Company that is headquartered in Waukesha, Wisconsin. GE Healthcare Technologies is the global leader in medical diagnostic technology and information systems. Previously, Mr. Hogan served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of GE Medical Systems.

Mr. Hogan began his career at GE in 1985, advancing through a series of leadership roles in sales, marketing and product development at GE Plastics.

In March 1998, he was named President and CEO of GE Fanuc Automation North America, Inc., a global supplier of industrial controls systems, headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia, and a joint venture between GE and FANUC, Ltd. Japan. In this role, Mr. Hogan and his team re-positioned GE Fanuc from a hardware supplier to services, software and networking products, which resulted in an increase in revenue of more than 40% in two years.

Mr. Hogan joined GE Medical Systems in April 2000 as Vice President of Global eBusiness, a role that was expanded in June 2000.

Mr. Hogan was born March 7, 1957. He earned a B.S. degree in business administration from Geneva College and an M.B.A. from Robert Morris University. Mr. Hogan and his wife have three sons and they reside in the Waukesha, WI, area.
