The Radiology Department performs approximately 125,800 exams per year using state of the art equipment. Currently, there are three helical CT scanners, two 1.5T MRI scanners, state of the art ultrasound, digital fluoroscopy, digital angiography and PET functional imaging.

Resources for resident instruction include the Hospital's 10,000 case teaching file and the teaching file of the American College of Radiology.

Conferences

The formal teaching curriculum is based on daily 7:30AM and 12 Noon conferences prepared and delivered by faculty. Grand Rounds presentations by residents are held monthly.
Formal physics lectures given by our department physicist are held twice weekly from October to May.

Twice each academic year (generally in October and March), the department conducts the Medical Student Elective. This is a two week, intensive radiology course given to the first year Radiology Residents and fourth year medical students.
