Washington, D.C – The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) today issued the following statement from President and CEO Scott Whitaker on the newly concluded United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA):

"AdvaMed congratulates President Trump and his administration, and the governments of Mexico and Canada, for successfully concluding negotiations on a new and improved trade agreement for North America.

“We believe the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) represents a significant step forward in terms of transparency, regulatory fairness and ensuring open access to the markets of all three countries. The agreement includes new provisions that apply to medical devices that will foster greater patient access to the latest medical technology innovations and further regulatory harmonization.
