MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2019, Southeast Asia’s leading medical and healthcare exhibition, will stage its biggest edition to date with about 1,000 exhibitors from over 60 countries at a new and larger venue: the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC). More than 10,000 medical and healthcare innovations will be on display from September 11 - 13, 2019.

MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND is part of Messe Düsseldorf’s “MEDICAlliance” program of regional and international medical trade fairs organized around the globe and will be organized by its subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf Asia.

MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2019 is set against a dynamic marketplace which is the second largest healthcare market in Southeast Asia, expected to be valued at US $28.5 billion by 2020[1]. In addition, Southeast Asia’s projected expected healthcare spending could increase to US $740 billion by 2025[2] further creating attractive business opportunities for a wide range of companies involved in the medical and healthcare sectors.
Highlights at MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND 2019:

• Community Care Pavilion
The first Community Care Pavilion will showcase new technologies and innovations in the areas of remote healthcare monitoring, geriatrics, rehabilitation products and assistive devices. With the ageing population in Southeast Asia expected to make up 15% of its total population by 2035[3], the innovations in this pavilion will not only address the shifting needs of the market, but also provide patients and end users with targeted and useful products and solutions to enhance and enable a sustainable quality of life.

• Start-Up Park
The new Start-Up Park will be a dedicated platform for new and innovative companies to present the latest technologies to potential buyers and investors. The start-up ecosystem in Southeast Asia is estimated at a value of US $13 billion[4], demonstrating the region’s openness to new ideas and innovative new companies. At the debuting Start-Up Park, medical and healthcare start-up companies with innovations in IoT - from big data, wearable technologies to the latest software - will be able to present their technologies.

• Extensive ancillary program:
The MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND exhibits will be complemented by a wide ranging ancillary program consisting of conferences, seminars and technical presentations. This will include the 4th Advanced Rehab Technology Conference (ARTeC), jointly organized by the Royal College of Physiatrists of Thailand, the Thai Rehabilitation Medicine Association and Messe Düsseldorf Asia. The 2-day multi-disciplinary conference will focus on rehabilitation technology and emerging trends in physical and rehabilitation medicine, with lectures from renowned experts, academics and medical professionals from Thailand and around the world. The CIO Forum, organized by the Thai Medical Informatics Association, will address digitalization in the healthcare market. This full day forum is an invitation-only event for leading information officers.

The previous edition of MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND in 2017 was a resounding success with 830 exhibitors from 66 countries and over 9,000 trade visitors - with 33% coming from outside Thailand.
