Another out-of-the-box session format, the 'My Thesis in 3 Minutes (MyT3)' presentations, will make a comeback at the spectacular Sky High Stage, providing a platform for residents and young radiologists who would like to present their thesis as a first author, in a dynamic and entertaining scientific session. The same location will also play host to the popular Clinical Trialssessions.
EuroSafe Imaging, the ESR's flagship initiative on radiation protection, will also be heavily featured throughout the congress programme, hosting seven dedicated sessions as well as numerous Coffee&Talk and joint sessions.

To make it more widely accessible, the ECR will once again broadcast nearly every lecture via live web streams on ECR Online, a service delegates have used increasingly since its introduction four years ago. Additional video content of a lighter note will be broadcasted to interested viewers around the world from the onsite ESR Connect studio. The studio will bring the atmosphere and vividness of ECR right to your screen.
Another popular feature of the ECR, the 'ESR meets' programme, which sees national radiological societies, societies of a specific geographic region and related professional societies invited to the congress, will feature Italy, Pakistan and Africa as the programme's guest countries for 2019 as well as the European Federation of Radiographer Societies (EFRS) and the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISSRT).
The ECR is the annual meeting of the European Society of Radiology (ESR), which represents more than 83,000 members worldwide, the European Federation of Radiographer Societies (EFRS) and the European Society for Hybrid, Molecular and Translational Imaging (ESHIMT). The ECR is one of the largest medical congresses in the world, attracting more than 28,000 congress participants. With 300 companies exhibiting across more than 26,000m², its exhibition is also one of the largest medical exhibitions in Europe.
ECR 2019, which marks the congress' 25th anniversary in Vienna, will take place from February 27 – March 3.
