(New York – February 15, 2019) –– The Mount Sinai Health System in New York announced that executive leaders will present at the 2019 BigData in HealthCare TLV to be held in Tel Aviv's Wohl International and Exhibition Convention Center in Israel on April 16. Experts from the United States and around the globe will share how technology is being utilized in predicting diseases and epidemics throughout the world to reducing mortality among patients.

David Reich, MD, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Mount Sinai Hospital and Co-Chair for the event, will join panel discussions on various topics including overcoming challenges in implementing big data solutions and the role of data science in improving value-based health care in the US.

Joel Dudley, PhD, Director of the Institute for Next Generation Healthcare, Associate Professor of Genetics and Genomic Sciences and Population Health Science and Policy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Executive Vice President of Precision Health at the Mount Sinai Health system will be a keynote speaker and will discuss moving from precision medicine to next generation health care.

David Reich, MD, has been a clinical and executive leader at Mount Sinai Health System for many years. After arriving at Mount Sinai in 1984, Dr. Reich completed a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesia. In 2011, Mount Sinai's nurses and nursing leadership honored Dr. Reich with the Physician of the Year Award. Now serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of The Mount Sinai Hospital, Dr. Reich has led Mount Sinai to become one of the top ranked hospitals in the nation. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles, invited articles, editorials, and book chapters. Dr. Reich's research interests include neurocognitive outcome following thoracic aortic surgery, outcome effects of intraoperative hemodynamics, medical informatics, and hemodynamic monitoring.
