When asked about the target demographic of SMG, Director of Marketing and Development
Paul Zahn [click for more info] went into some detail regarding the company's accommodation of different facilities. "The small facilities need service because they do not have the capital budget to install new equipment and we offer them an option without having to produce the funds immediately. The larger facilities usually have the capital budget and volumes but not necessarily the space to install new equipment inside so we offer them an option to reduce backlog without having to expand the facility."
Shared Medical Equipment Group LLC serves facilities throughout the United States, including Alaska. The company recently celebrated its twenty-five year anniversary. SMG was also recently named #12 Dealer / Distributor / Remanufacturer /Rebuilder in
Medical Imaging Magazine. They pride themselves on their attention to customer service and follow up, in conjunction with high quality of equipment that they provide to their customers. This results in overall growth of the company. This is supplemented by their financial growth, which Mr. Zahn attributes to the way they look at every opportunity from all possible angles to assure that their customer's needs are met, which in return leads to referrals and more business.
Mr. Zahn also explained how helpful DOTmed has been as a resource in expansion of the company. "DOTmed has allowed us an outlet to sell off older units from our fleet as we upgrade the systems. It has given us the ability to reach out to other companies outside of the US that would have an interest in older systems but the ability to find them via other means."
