West Valley Imaging Systems, Inc. (WVIS) specializes in the sale and rental services of MRIs. The president of the company,
John Kirk (click for info) runs the office that operates out of South Carolina. He believes there is no need for multiple offices, when all the work can be done out of one. "The benefit of having one office is that people know they can contact me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and they will actually be able to talk to me. The whole process is one-on-one, which makes people more comfortable working with us."
When asked about the target demographic of the company, Mr. Kirk explained that West Valley Imaging sells primarily to small clinics and small hospitals. He added, "We try to offer quality products at an extremely competitive price." He also explained how he sees the Internet as a mixed blessing. On one hand, the Internet allows the equipment to be exposed to a larger population. In fact, 95-98% of West Valley Imaging customers are Internet savvy, and find the equipment sold online. However, the main drawback is that there are some unscrupulous people in the used medical equipment industry who run false claims about the equipment they sell. They advertise their products with prices that are unrealistic. This puts a burden on the legitimate companies, like WVIS, that are asked to match the fictitious deals. He included that he has never had this problem with DOTmed, but with other companies on the Internet.
WVIS primarily serves the southeast region of the United States, and has mobiles spread out throughout. "A lot of people know that we sell mobiles. What they don't know is that we also lease interim mobiles. This is something we have recently begun to do, and plan to focus on even more. Another little known fact is that the equipment we sell is equipment that I have purchased. I then sell this for my inventory. This way, I have ultimate control of the equipment." By eliminating the "middle man", WVIS is able to handle the concerns of its customers on an individual basis, which results in a stronger client base. Doesn't that sound like a company you would want to handle your business?
