Achieving Quality Imaging (AQI) is based in Rockford, MI, 25 miles northeast of Grand Rapids. They are entering our 11th year of providing nationwide continuing education in mammography and Initial Training in Mammography courses.

Initial training

The program includes both lectures and hands-on positioning workshops taught by our team of experienced mammographers. Hands-on demonstrations with instructions in patient scanning is just one of the highlights of this mammography training program.

Who should attend:
If you are looking for a comprehensive Mammography Training
Conference that is ASRT approved for 29 Category A credits that
will go toward the 40 hours of "initial training requirements" for
technologist under the Mammography Quality Standards Act
(MQSA). You should also attend if you are planning on taking
the Mammography Boards in the near future. This conference
will cover all aspects pertaining to the mammography boards.

They bring them to your city, your facility, your local and state society meetings, or your annual Spring/Fall mammography conferences. You can choose from one to all programs and partial day or full day programs lasting from a half day to a full 3 day conference. They will tailor these educational programs to meet your needs.

Full Field Digital Training - One Day Seminar:
- 8 Category A CEU's for Technologists
- 6.5 Category 1 CME's for Radiologists

The course begins with a simple explanation of breast anatomy, physiology and the development of breast cancer designed to give a basis for comparing the strengths and weaknesses of film and digital mammography. After an introduction to binary numbers, computer basics and digital image definition, it moves on to consider the production of a digital mammogram including generation, attenuation and detetction of x-rays.
