ATLANTA – December 17, 2019 – ControlRad, Inc., a privately held medical technology company focused on dramatically reducing unnecessary radiation exposure during fluoroscopically guided procedures (FGP), today announced several additions to its leadership team. Joining are Peter Pizzo as chief financial officer, Amy Lazarus as vice president of USA operations, Joe Ross as vice president of marketing, and Sean Finnerty and Tim Hein as area vice presidents of sales. The industry veterans bring considerable experience leading businesses and introducing new products in the medical device industry.
“2019 was a significant year for ControlRad, with FDA clearance and initial installations of our first product,” says Guillaume Bailliard, ControlRad chief executive officer. “The wealth of experience that Peter, Amy, Joe, Sean and Tim bring in introducing new products to the market will be invaluable as we ramp up commercialization for ControlRad Trace in 2020.”
ControlRad Trace is a recently FDA-cleared technology that can be integrated into existing mobile C-arms to reduce radiation in any FGP. It reduces radiation exposure by a minimum of 50% and up to 89%, protecting patients and medical staff without compromising image quality or workflow. (1)
