On January 7, 2020, Abbott’s Board of Directors appointed Robert E. Funck, Jr., 58, as Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, effective March 1, 2020. Mr. Funck has served as Abbott’s Senior Vice President, Finance and Controller since 2018 and served as Vice President, Controller from 2013 to 2018, as Vice President, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer from 2009 to 2013, as Vice President, Internal Audit from 2007 to 2009, and as Vice President and Treasurer from 2005 to 2007.
Prior to joining Abbott in 1987, Bob worked as part of the audit group for KPMG and was a Certified Public Accountant.
He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from St. Ambrose University.
