Emergency residents and faculty
run all traumas in the ED.
Synergy Medical Education Alliance was formed in 1969 to coordinate all of the medical education activities in the Saginaw community. The corporation's primary educational missions include undergraduate medical education (third and fourth year medical students), residency training and continuing medical education for all Saginaw Physicians.

Emergency Medicine Residency Program
The EM Residency Program, which began in 1998, is a three-year program designed to produce board-certified emergency medicine physicians who are comfortable handling any patient situation presenting to an emergency department. The faculty consists of 36 full-time and 2 part-time physicians. All of these are Emergency Medicine residency trained, and all are Emergency Board certified/eligible. Residents receive training at Covenant Health Care System's new state-of-the-art Emergency Department and Saint Mary's of Michigan Hospital.
