Upon speaking with Joe Shepherd, Vice President of Foss Therapy Services, I learned that Foss recently delivered and installed a system that is being used as a calibration standard by MDH Radcal, an instrument manufacturing company. MDH Radcal is using the system for their cobalt radiation standard.

Over the past three years, the same amount of time that Foss Therapy Services has been a DOTmed user, Foss has seen an increase in international sales due to the Internet. Most of their Internet sales are transacted via email. Business has also grown with the addition of training services that Foss is providing to U.S. government organizations for radiation safety and security services.

Recent world events have impacted Foss Therapy Services' business as the regulatory environment has made it more time-intensive to conduct regular business operations, including licensing, service work and shipment of radioactive materials.

Foss has been proactive in helping its customers. In fact, Foss has self-financed a number of leases for customers to purchase their own equipment and begin to treat patients through internal financing.

When asked if he had any advice to share, Joe said, "We've got a company policy to play golf once a week, and I think it's working fairly well for us. It provides a level of relaxation and recharging of batteries that allows us to work harder on the other days."
