Los Angeles,CA – (April 28, 2020) Health IT innovator MedInformatix announced today that Eastern Radiologists (ERI), a technology-forward imaging and interventional radiology center in North Carolina, will soon begin implementation of the MedInformatix Revenue Cycle Management solution. The move comes as ERI went live with the MedInformatix RIS in early April.

"We are so pleased to be extending our relationship with Eastern Radiologists," said Pat McGonigle, CEO of MedInformatix. "With their RIS now up and running we look forward to assisting their innovative practice with the entire patient experience, from initial order to scheduling to registration to procedure to billing to payment – all with no duplication of effort."

Walter Lindstrand, Chief Operating Officer at ERI said his practice initially opted to keep its billing capabilities in-house but his experience working with MedInformatix product and technology teams gave him confidence to consolidate his RIS and revenue cycle needs on one unified platform rather than two as previously configured. "Working side by side over the past several months, it's clear MedInformatix is a partner who has the full interest of our practice in mind," he said. "From the front-line to the bottom-line we are impressed with the efficiencies we think we can achieve for our practice and we look forward to a collaborative relationship ahead."

ERI has a history of forging new ground in radiology. Their team of more than 55 radiologists offer a comprehensive array of diagnostic, vascular, interventional and women's imaging services at 13 hospitals and six outpatient facilities throughout Eastern North Carolina. They were the first in the state to achieve status as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, and in May of 2012 became just the second imaging center in the country to offer Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography, a specialized mammogram to aid in the detection of high-risk breast cancer.
