Atlanta, GA – GF Health Products, Inc. (“Graham-Field”) announced today that it has acquired substantially all of the assets of Gendron, Inc. (“Gendron”). Gendron is one of the USA’s leading designers and manufacturers of mobile patient management, specializing in bariatric beds, mobility, seating, transfer and transport for long term care, home care, rehabilitation and acute care.

“We are extremely excited about combining Gendron with Graham-Field to maximize our manufacturing and marketing opportunities within the acute care, long term care, rehabilitation and homecare markets. This acquisition will further allow Graham-Field to provide an integrated system of products to assist in the care of the bariatric patient and resident. The acquisition will also expand our ‘Made in USA’ Strategic Initiative and will enhance the market potential of Graham-Field’s existing Lumex®, Everest&Jennings®, Basic American Medical Products®, Hausted® and Intensa® products”, stated Ken Spett, President and CEO of Graham-Field.

Gendron’s President, Steven Cotter, commented, “Gendron, whose heritage dates to 1871, has a well-deserved reputation for providing customers with superior healthcare equipment. I am confident that product quality, service and innovation will continue without interruption.”

Graham-Field’s 20-acre Fond du Lac, Wisconsin steel fabrication complex and 7.5-acre Gwinnett County, Georgia medical upholstery, assembly and distribution facility will begin producing the Gendron portfolio of bariatric equipment. Graham-Field’s investments in manufacturing automation, process improvement and engineering expertise will allow it to build on the great heritage of Gendron and enhance the features and capabilities of the Gendron product line.

“This represents Graham-Field’s fourth acquisition of a USA medical equipment manufacturer within the past eight years and is well-aligned with our growth strategies; and supports our objective to be a preferred global provider of healthcare equipment”, added Spett.
