Surgimax General Surgical Table
Mentor, Ohio - STERIS Corporation announces the launch of its newest surgical platform, the Surgimax General Surgical Table, which complements its industry standard Amsco® 3085 SP and Cmax® General Surgical Tables, specialty surgical tables and table accessory lines. The Surgimax table is designed to provide a high level of clinical versatility for ambulatory and outpatient care centers.
The global healthcare environment is dynamic and constantly evolving. New surgical procedures are developed frequently by innovative surgeons seeking to improve patient outcomes. These new procedures can require new methods for positioning the patient on the surgical table. STERIS is continuously monitoring the evolving needs of the surgical environment and has developed this new patient positioning technology to provide a timely solution for current surgical needs and trends.
The Surgimax table is applicable for all diagnostic and surgical procedures including spinal, ENT, ophthalmologic, gastro-intestinal, bariatric, endoscopic, arthroscopic, rectal, obstetric and gynecologic, orthopedic and general pain management procedures. It has also been designed to accommodate new procedures as they are developed.

The Surgimax table has the low height demanded by today's minimally invasive procedures and provides full body C-arm access from the top of the sternum to the toes and from the femoral artery to the top of the head. The Surgimax table's unique six-section tabletop design provides the greatest flexibility for all procedures, including urologic surgeries, shoulder chair set-ups and lumbar laminectomies. "We designed this table to do everything an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient care center needs to do, with the same quality engineering that set the standard for surgical tables," said Eric Wittine, senior product manager.
Many features of this innovative surgical table assure clinical versatility and easy use:

-The 20-degree left and right side tilt facilitates the surgeon's mid-line access from the table side
-An ergonomic six-section tabletop includes motorized back and leg sections as well as a finite adjustment headrest for patient posturing
-A lightweight hand control is enclosed in a shock-resistant sealed case
-The x-ray function enables easy side loading of film cassettes
