SNMMI announces president of technologist section during 2020 Annual Meeting

She completed her AAS in nuclear medicine technology at Triton College in River Grove, Illinois, followed by a bachelor’s degree in Health Arts and a master’s degree in health services administration at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. Buehner is passionate about research and is currently in the last semester of a doctoral program in health sciences at Rush University in Chicago. Her current project through Loyola University Medical Center is evaluating 18F-fluciclovine in gynecological cancers.

Buehner holds professional board certifications from the NMTCB in nuclear medicine technology, computed tomography, and radiation safety and from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in nuclear medicine and computed tomography.

The new SNMMI-TS leadership team announced at the Annual Meeting also includes Dusty M. York, MAEd, CNMT, PET, ARRT(N)(CT), as president-elect. SNMMI officers elected for 2020-21 are Alan B. Packard, PhD, Boston, Massachusetts, as president; Richard L. Wahl, MD, St. Louis, Missouri, as president-elect; and Munir Ghesani, MD, FACNM, FACR, New York, NY, as vice president-elect.
