DOTmed 100 Company All Imaging Systems Enjoys Success

All Imaging Systems
is a leader in
ultrasound diagnostic
equipment and servicing

AIS, with nine employees in Irvine, CA, relies on over 35 years of combined experience to put muscle behind its lean crew. According to Marti Rae Ortega, sales & marketing manager, All Imaging Systems began in 1992 and become fully-incorporated in 1996.

Its product line features ultrasound systems, probes/transducers, monitors and all the other replacement parts, peripherals, and disposable supplies needed by their hospital, doctor's office, and dealer clients. What sets them apart, however, is start-to-finish follow-through and support.

"We work to accommodate our customers' individual needs and we configure a system appropriate to their practice," Ortega says. However, adds DOTmed Certified Carol Haynes, sales manager, AIS is also renowned for its post-sales support by on-site trained technicians.

"It's unusual, I think, to have a company so willing to offer years of technical experience," Ortega adds. "We're recognized in the industry for offering technical solutions to people's questions." In fact, in an effort to service the health care industry, AIS answers calls from people who are not even clients.

With a substantial inventory, AIS sells to both US and international clients, with more and more of them buying outright, rather than dealing with an equipment exchange.

"More dealers want to buy outright, perhaps, because it becomes much easier for them to sell the product overseas," Haynes explains. "And this year, many are capitalizing on a weak dollar," Ortega adds.

AIS buys from all the top OEMs, including Acuson, Agilent, GE Medical, Hewlett Packard, Mindray, Philips, Siemens, Sonosite, and Toshiba, among others. AIS also leases and prospects from among many doctors and dealers who are upgrading or have surplus equipment on hand.

"This year, the state of our business has been good," Ortega notes. "Usually, December and January are slow months, but not this year. Our industry is growing and so are our competitors."

That said, Ortega credits DOTmed with "getting our name out."
